Account & Data Deletion

Effective Date: January 1, 2024

In compliance with Apple's App Store guidelines and Google Play's Data Deletion Policy, ZestPlate provides a transparent process for users to request the deletion of their accounts and personal data.

1. Local Recipe Data Deletion (Self-Serve)

ZestPlate is designed to store your personal recipe favorites, shopping checklists, and measurement configurations **locally on your device**. This data is never uploaded to our servers.

To completely wipe this local data:

  1. Open the ZestPlate App on your mobile device.
  2. Navigate to the **Profile** tab, and tap **Settings**.
  3. Scroll to **Storage & Cache**, and tap **Clear Cached Data**.
  4. Confirm the prompt. This will immediately delete all favorites, grocery lists, and preferences from your device storage.

2. Support Ticket & Email Data Deletion

If you have sent support tickets, contact forms, or support email correspondence to us, some metadata may be saved in our support log systems. To request the complete deletion of this data:

  • Send an email request to: support@zestplate.com
  • Subject line: **ZestPlate Data Deletion Request**
  • Please specify the email address associated with your support tickets so that we can locate and remove your information.

We process all data deletion requests within **48 hours** of receipt. Once completed, all associated emails, names, and logs will be permanently deleted from our records.
